I signed a contract with a supplier in Amman for 120,000 JOD, but they stopped delivering and the goods are substandard. I want to know if I should pursue damages in Jordanian courts or pursue arbitration, and what evidence is needed to prove breach. How long would a typical suit take and what costs should I expect?

hello there, Thank you for your enquiry. we would be pleased to assist you with this matter. for the breach of contract you can file a lawsuit before the competent court in Jordan to calim remedy but before this you must direct a notarized warning to the opponent, in case the contract doe not have an arbitration clause. we will need to review the contracts and merits of breach before we can advise you what remedy you can have. regards, Lawyer - Yazan Jaradat
