Thank you for your question. Timing is very important in situations like this.

If you were granted entry to Jamaica as a visitor for 90 days, extensions are typically handled through the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA) in Jamaica. Extensions usually require supporting documentation, and if proof of your divorce (Decree Absolute) is required to process your application, that document would need to be produced before an extension can be granted.

Regarding your concern about leaving and re-entering:

There is no automatic entitlement to receive another 90 days simply by leaving and returning shortly after. Each entry into Jamaica is discretionary and determined by the immigration officer at the port of entry. If you exit and attempt to return within a short period, the officer may question the frequency of your visits, your ties to your home country, and whether you are attempting to reside in Jamaica without the appropriate status. If they are not satisfied, they can grant a shorter stay or refuse entry.

Because of that, it is often safer, where possible, to obtain and submit the required document (for example, by courier) and apply for an extension before your current stay expires. Remaining beyond your authorized period without approval can negatively affect future travel. Given that you are married to a Jamaican national, you may also wish to consider regularizing your status more formally (e.g., citizenship by marriage) if you intend to spend extended time in Jamaica.

I hope everything worked out well for you. If you ever have any further questions or need assistance in the future, please feel free to reach out. I remain available to help.
