My landlord is asking for my account details to send bk my money after I paid him nd sent my proof of payment to him that same day
His reason is I havnt paid him in that manner before, that we always come to his office nd pay then collect our receipt that I did wat I did out of pride because he was asking m for sex
I told him that it’s not the reason that am currently not around to come directly nd my rent is due last month October ending so I av to try to send to avoid any eventualities
Buh his only respond was by giving me a condition that either I send my account details to him to send m the money bk or I come nd meet him for the thing am running from I.e (sex)
And right now am stock I don’t know if I should send him the acc details or I should hold him legally coz I feel it’s wrong
His also threatening not to hear it outside if not I will av no other alternative to fall bk to rather than to just leave his house

N/B: Am just a student nd this is how he also threatens other student

First, your matter, though rooted in a landlord–tenant relationship, extends beyond mere tenancy issues. It involves acts of sexual harassment and intimidation, which are criminal offences. By virtue of the payment already made and evidence thereof, you have fulfilled your obligation and therefore remain a lawful tenant. Do not send account details or engage privately with the landlord. Preserve all evidence such as payment proof, chats, and any form of communication showing harassment or threats. You can engage a lawyer to write a warning letter to the landlord should you wish. If the landlord persists, you can lodge a formal complaint.

You have to be careful and smart you are still living on his property and you don't want to put your life unnecessary at risk. My advice is that you ignore his messages and calls. If he even comes to your door and you notice him, ignore him and act like you are not at home till he leaves your front door. Keep all information evidencing the sexual harassment. Only lodge a formal complaints to the Police if he gets violent. My advice is that you start hunting for alternative accomodations. If you live alone it would be helpful to invite someone to stay with you pending your stay on the property for the sake of protection. My advice is leave that place immediately your rent expires. Don't send anyone your account number. You can give your male relative or friend the phone to answer your calls if she try to ignore them but he is persistent. I wish you the best
