It depends on your type of Tenancy. Monthly Tenant gets 7 days notice. Six months Tenant, gets 3 months Notice. Yearly Tenant gets 6 months notice. If you are owing, you are a Tenant at Will and will only get 7 days notice.

In Lagos, Nigeria, the duration of a quit notice a landlord must give a tenant depends on the type of tenancy:

- Monthly Tenancy – At least one month’s notice.
- Quarterly Tenancy – At least three months’ notice.
- Half-Yearly Tenancy – At least three months’ notice.
- Yearly Tenancy – At least six months’ notice.

These durations are provided under the Recovery of Premises Law of Lagos State. However, if the tenancy agreement specifies a different notice period, that agreed duration will apply.
