Under Pakistani family laws, if the husband is unwilling to give divorce, the wife still has the legal right to seek Dissolution or Khula through the Family Court. The court can dissolve the marriage if it is satisfied that reconciliation is not possible or the spouses cannot live together within the limits prescribed by law. The procedure involves filing a Suit for Dissolution of Marriage or by way of (Khula) before the Family Court, after which the court issues notices, conducts reconciliation proceedings, and if reconciliation fails, the court may grant Khula.
