The Muslim man married other 3 women without the knowledge of the Catholic (first) wife. I would like to know if the Islamic law in the Philippines overrides the Family Code of civil marriage in an interfaith marriage. Are the additional marriages legal or invalid?

Both Islamic law and civil law would apply to the interfaith marriage between a Muslim man and a Catholic woman. The specific legal framework will depend on how the marriage was conducted and registered. In matters of dispute, the applicable laws may vary based on the nature of the issue (e.g., divorce, custody, inheritance) and the religious laws governing each spouse.
