Visitation Rights

In Philippines

Last Updated: May 14, 2024

My question is I am going to work abroad but I don't want my husband to leave with my children ages 20 (Son),18(son), 10(daughter) because he is addictive to alcohol(alcoholic) and everytime he is drunk he is fond of verbal abuse and I am worried about my childrens safety when I am not around anymore to safeguard them. Is it possible for us to make an agreement that he will only visit his daughter in a short period why I am saying in a short period because everytime he is at home he is just drinking liquor and when he is drunk he only sleep for a while and when he wakes up he will continue to drunk again and while drunk he always saying badwords or boxing the wall. Instead of having bonding to his daughter he likes more to drink. He works at another barangay and seldomly come home at anytime he wants or if I will only tell him that his daughter has no allowance that only the time he come home. But instead of bonding when he is home he is drinking just to make arguments with me. The main question is before i go abroad can we make an agreement that he can't just come and go at my kids place to visit taht he will only visit his daughter on a specific day without having a drink or already drunk that if he will break the agreement then he can't visit his daughter in a 300 meter distance may it at home or school. Im just for my childrens safety and well being because he is so different when drunk. Thats all thank you if someone can respond and enlighten me about this matter. Because i don't know if I will go to a VAWC, DSWD or directly to a lawyer.
