Huroob and exit issue

Subject: Administrative correction of "Huroob" status from 2008.
Details:
I was employed in KSA in 2008. Due to a sponsor dispute, I was processed for a Final Exit.
I have a physical Final Exit Stamp in my passport from the [company removed] dated 12/12/1429H (Dec 2008).
I traveled out of KSA immediately after receiving the stamp and have lived abroad since then.
I recently discovered that my electronic status still shows "Absent from Work" (Huroob) and does not show my exit.
Question: How can I use my physical 2008 exit stamp to manually update the Jawazat system and clear this incorrect Huroob status while I am outside the Kingdom? Can a lawyer handle this through the Labor Court or an Administrative Appeal?

Short answer:
Yes! a lawyer can fully handle this remotely. The most effective route is administrative correction first, followed by judicial escalation if needed.
Here's the details:
Your case involves a historical administrative error between exit records and the “Huroob” status, and it can still be corrected, but not through standard automated channels.
Under current practice of the General Directorate of Passports and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, a “Huroob” status remains legally valid in the system unless formally cancelled through official administrative or judicial procedures, even if the worker actually exited the Kingdom.
Key Legal Position:
A final exit stamp is strong evidence that you left legally.
However, manual reconciliation is required if the exit was not digitally recorded (common in pre-digital era cases like 2008).
False or incorrect Huroob reports can be challenged and may expose the employer to liability.
Correct Procedure (from outside KSA):
Appoint a Saudi lawyer via power of attorney
The lawyer submits a request to:
Jawazat : for data correction (تصحيح بيانات خروج نهائي)
MHRSD : to confirm termination of the employment relationship
Attach evidence:
Passport copy with final exit stamp (2008)
Old visa / contract (if available)
If rejected administratively, proceed with:
Labor Court claim (to invalidate the Huroob as false)
Or Administrative Court (Board of Grievances) for record correction
Important Practical Insight:
Since you exited legally, your case is not a typical Huroob removal, but a system correction case
Courts in Saudi Arabia increasingly accept documentary evidence, especially for legacy (pre-Absher/Qiwa) discrepancies
