Marital abandonment of Indian Wife

In Saudi Arabia
Last Updated: Jan 13, 2026
My husband is employed and residing in Dammam. I lived with my husband and my mother in law on dependant visa and iqama in Dammam from oct 2021 to July 2025. Now my husband has deserted me India from August 2025 and left to Saudi Arabia. My visa has expired, my husband has stopped all communication and also locked his house in India. Can I come to Saudi on tourist visa and talk to him directly to reconcile? Can someone help me please?

Yes, you can enter Saudi Arabia on a tourist visa if you meet the requirements, even if your previous residency as a dependent has expired. Entering as a tourist does not prevent you from attempting to contact or meet your husband amicably within Saudi Arabia.

However, it should be noted that there is no legal means to compel your husband to meet with you or reconcile. If you wish to claim your marital rights (alimony, divorce, proof of abandonment), you can file a personal status case with the competent court in your husband's place of residence, such as Dammam. You can appoint a lawyer to handle the proceedings without your initial presence.
