A humanitarian association can take the form of a civil association (udruženje građana) or a foundation (zadužbina). The latter is a bit more durable requires a capital of at least eur 30.000.

In case of the more practical solution - a civil association - once the required documents are prepared (foundation act and statute) the registration takes up to 5 business days. But the bank will probably conduct a compliance review of the association and its members. The timing then depends if the founders are available in Serbia, and if they are in agreement on the main activity of the association.
