Can a Swedish nonprofit association change its purpose without dissolving and re-registering?

I am part of a small charity registered as a Swedish non-profit association (förening). We are considering broadening our mission and activities, but I’m unsure what steps are required: whether general assembly approval is needed, how bylaws should be amended, and what tax or reporting implications might arise with Skatteverket.

In Sweden, generally a non-profit association (Ideell förening) can change its mission through their business description (Verksamhetsbeskrivning) without dissolving. Depending if the association is conducting business (Näringsverksamhet) or not, the changes need to be reported to Bolagsverket (The Swedish Companies Registration Office) or Skatteverket (Swedish Tax Agency). These changes can be reported online or via form.

Changes generally only require a board member's signature to take effect.

Note that this answer describes the general path and more drastic changes, if putting the association outside the non-profit sector, other activities will be necessary.
