What is owner of condo units obligation as far as damage to the condo below their unit.
The unit above my condo is managed by a Property Management company, and it was rented. During the time it was rented, there were water leaks that damaged my ceilings, and the Management Company. refuses to fix the ceiling so that it matches the rest of the ceiling. Even though the property manager was notified of the leak as soon as it began, but did not send anyone out to inspect what was going on for 7 days and despite numerous phone calls. Therefore, the leak went from my kitchen AC vent on day 1, and on day 3 moved across my kitchen ceiling and by day 5 spread to the living room. The plumber came out on day 7 to discover it was a loose hose under the sink that just needed to be tightened. He refuses to paint the whole ceiling, but after numerous attempts, at only fixing the damaged area, it looks horrible.

You can file a case to request the appointment of a government engineer from Dubai Municipality to inspect the unit and prepare an official report regarding the damage and the delay in addressing the issue.
