Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed & Associates (SIA&A) is a leading law firm in Dhaka, Bangladesh. SIA&A is the Chambers and law firm established by the Late Mr. Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed, a barrister and senior advocate of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. Mr. Ahmed was a renowned and revered figure in the legal field of Bangladesh. A former Attorney General, Minister in charge of the Ministry of Law & Justice and Ministry of Local Government & Rural Development in the Interim Government of Bangladesh in 1996, and Minister in charge of the Ministry of Law & Justice and Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism in the Interim Government of Bangladesh in 2001, Mr. Ahmed was involved in numerous organisations and committees. He passed away in July 2003. SIA&A stands out from other firms in the city in having a broadly based practice encompassing all aspects of civil litigation as well as advising clients and firms in the fields of constitutional and corporate law, banking, commercial and corporate finance and general commercial issues. The present partners, Nihad Kabir, Syed Afzal Hasan Uddin and Md.
