The Legal Council - Cyprus is a government statutory body that regulates the legal profession in the Republic of Cyprus. It is chaired by the Attorney General and includes senior figures from the Cyprus Bar Council as well as practicing advocates, creating the central authority responsible for the admission to practice and the enrollment of advocates.

Its principal duties include admitting and enrolling advocates, determining whether requirements for initial registration of trainee lawyers are met, and overseeing the enrollment of advocates. The Council also organizes lectures and seminars for trainee lawyers and appoints examiners to conduct and certify examinations, ensuring that candidates meet the standards of Cyprus law.

Its scope extends to education in core legal areas, including Company Law and Family Law, reflecting a framework that supports rigorous training and ongoing professional development.
