Britton, Hamilton and Adams (BH&A) was established in 1969.
The founder and Managing Partner Mr. Peter Britton, S.C., A.A -years of practice 1965 to 2009, deceased -, was a leading Attorney at both the Criminal and Civil Bar(s).

Mr. Britton mentored numerous Attorneys as Pupil master and whilst a Professor of Law at the University of Guyana (1989-2009).

Michael Hamilton whose focus was in the area of Company Law, retired as to the island of Bahamas.

Odel Adams, deceased, was a Justice of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States.

Ms. Dela Britton, the current Managing Partner holds a Bachelor of Laws ( LLB) from the University of the West Indies; Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago; a Master of Laws( LLM) in International Business and Trade with emphasis on multinational Corporations and Copyright Law from Fordham University School of Law, New York USA and she holds a Certificate in Grant Writing from New York University. She is a member of the Guyana Bar Association; the American Bar Association and the New York Bar Association,

Two Contract Attorneys on rotation who both hold Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of Guyana and who are primarily responsible for our Magistrates’ Practice and some of our criminal law practice. There are currently three (3) members of Administrative Staff and we maintain a rooster of contract employees when contracted for extensive matters
