Ahmet, Esq. is a licensed attorney at law in New York and Istanbul. He graduated from Istanbul Şehir University School of Law as the top scoring student of Law School. He then completed his LL.M. at New York University (NYU).
Ahmet advised clients on various international sales contract, international share purchase contract, and international commercial law disputes regarding International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation & Arbitration Center (ADCCAC), and United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) arbitration process. He is a member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Young Arbitrators Forum (YAF), Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIARB) as Associate (ACIArb), and Istanbul Arbitration Centre (ISTAC) Young Forum. He regularly advises companies in various sectors including chemical industry, marine transportation, grain trading. He has experience in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, domestic and international litigation and corporate structuring. He implemented the processes of establishing companies, branches, and liaison offices abroad including in the United States, Greece, and Lebanon. Managed and appeared in court litigation, mediation, and arbitration cases. Participated in transactions relating to mergers and acquisitions by the clients including a multinational investment bank. Negotiated and drafted legal documents including employment agreements, international sale contracts, and commercial leases.
Ahmet has two books published in Turkey and the United States in legal English and investment arbitration law. He made presentations at various conferences on international arbitration, investment relations, and data protection law.
