We are a commercial law firm that advises private individuals and small and medium-sized companies out of court and represents them in court proceedings.
The law firm was founded in the early 1970s by Dr. Otto Nietsch founded as an individual practice and was based in Hamburg - Harburg until 1999. Dr. Nietsch focused on real estate law early on. As former in-house lawyer for the Association of German Brokers (VDM), he advised in particular on brokerage law, but also on tenancy and WEG law and on building law issues. In addition, advising companies on commercial law also played an important role.
In 1998, attorney Matthias W. Kroll entered the practice initially as a trainee lawyer. From 2000, Mr. M. Kroll was a registered attorney with the law firm Dr. Nietsch & Kroll Lawyers. Mr. Kroll developed a focus of his legal work in employment law, whereby he also looked after real estate law mandates due to the traditional orientation of the law firm. Since 2004, Mr. Kroll has also been advising on insurance, intermediary and financial services law as well as on all commercial and sports law issues after completing an additional course in insurance law.
The practice expanded in 2002 to include Mrs. Dr. Katrin Kroll, Mag. rer. publ. , who initially worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Finance and Taxation at the University of Hamburg in addition to her legal work. Miss Dr. Kroll added tax and inheritance law issues to the firm's range of advice. Miss Dr. After her certification as an executor (AGT), Kroll also acts as an advisor in this area of law.
In 2010, Dr. Nietsch retired from active work as a senior. Dr. However, Nietsch is still available to the law firm in an advisory capacity and still looks after individual long-standing clients.
Since January 1st, 2015, attorney Dr. Jan Wendt as employed lawyer our team.
On January 1st, 2017, Mr. Rainer Wüstenfeld, attorney at law, joined our law firm as of counsel.
Since November 1st, 2022, Ms. Wiebke Harke has been working as an associate for our practice.
Six lawyers are currently working for our business law practice, which advises small and medium-sized companies, their executives, traders, freelancers and private individuals, associations, chambers and clubs out of court and represents them in court proceedings before state courts, as well as before arbitration courts and in business mediation.
