Islam El-Hawary brings over 13 years of extensive legal experience across a broad spectrum of practice areas, including commercial, civil, and labor law, corporate formation and restructuring, legal advisory, contract drafting and review, and litigation before various levels of courts, regulatory authorities, and enforcement bodies.
El-Hawary serves as the Assistant Legal Affairs Manager at Americana Group, one of the region’s largest conglomerates operating in the food and services sectors. In this capacity, he leads the legal function across the Group and its subsidiaries, handling strategic responsibilities such as high-level legal advisory, dispute management, review and drafting of complex commercial contracts, and ensuring full compliance with applicable local and regional laws. He also represents the Group before judicial and regulatory bodies.
He began his legal career at prominent law firms in Egypt, including Baher & James Law Firm and Khaled El-Deeb Law Office, where he worked on sensitive legal matters involving major corporations and high-profile individuals.
His responsibilities included litigation, arbitration, contract drafting, and providing legal opinions in complex commercial, civil, and labor disputes. He also served as in-house Senior Legal Counsel at companies such as Good News Group and Royal for Herbs, giving him a dual perspective that combines the rigors of private practice with the strategic needs of corporate in-house environments.
As a founding partner at ItQan, El-Hawary has played a key role in shaping a progressive legal vision based on providing comprehensive legal services tailored to the real needs of clients,
including corporations, entrepreneurs, and investors. He currently leads several strategic files covering a range of sectors including industry, food, distribution, and real estate, among others.
