Managing Partner
Kingsley Ani is the Managing Partner of Kabbiz Legal & Advisory and leads the Firm’s Intellectual Property, Corporate & Commercial, and Dispute Resolution practice groups.
Ani’s practice spans complex commercial litigation, intellectual property strategy, regulatory compliance, and cross-border corporate advisory. While he built his early practice in Commercial Litigation, he has strategically concentrated his core focus on Intellectual Property Law, Anti-Counterfeiting Strategy, Products Registration, Defamation and Online Reputation Management, Regulatory Compliance, Corporate Governance, and international business structuring.
He regularly advises foreign corporations entering the Nigerian market and local companies scaling operations across regulated sectors. His work is particularly focused on aligning global business models with Nigerian legal and regulatory frameworks, ensuring structural compliance, enforceability, and long-term operational durability.
Beyond advisory work, Kingsley serves as Company Secretary to select foreign-owned Nigerian entities and sits in a non-executive director capacity on the boards of registered companies, advising on governance standards and regulatory risk management.

- 44 Web Media Inc. (Canada): Defended the respondent in a UDRP arbitration proceeding involving a commercially valuable domain name, protecting critical digital assets central to the client’s commercial identity.
- ALIPO (Taiwan): Provided intellectual property advisory and filed a PCT patent application with the Nigerian Trademarks, Patents, and Designs Registry, facilitating the protection of innovation within Nigeria.
- Austpress Digital Company Ltd.: Advised on corporate governance structures, facilitated statutory filings with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), and provided ongoing compliance advisory services.
- Deheng IP Agency Co. Ltd.: Registered industrial designs and advised on the protection and strategic positioning of the client’s IP portfolio in Nigeria.
- Forewin Ghana Ltd.: Advised on regulatory compliance for the importation of products into Nigeria and guided the registration and protection of the client’s intellectual property assets locally.
- Lumec Industries Pvt. Ltd.: Advised on foreign business migration, trademark strategy, and regulatory compliance for the importation of solar and automotive battery products into Nigeria.
- NearSwipe Inc. (USA & Nigeria): Provided patent advisory and filed a patent application for an NFC-enabled payment card innovation in Nigeria.
- V40 Technologies Limited (Gabon & Nigeria): Extensively advised on regulatory compliance matters relating to a cross-border fintech payment system facilitating monetary remittances between Nigeria and Gabon.
- Stratford Capital Nigeria Ltd.: Advised on Nigerian market entry, established the local corporate entity, and currently serves as Company Secretary, advising on regulatory obligations in connection with investments linked to the Nigerian Exchange (NGX).
- Confidential Client (Germany & Nigeria): Acted as Nigerian legal counsel to a Germany-based mobility and technology company preparing to launch operations in Nigeria. The mandate covered full localisation of the client’s Platform Terms & Conditions, including alignment with Nigerian transport regulations, consumer protection laws, data governance standards, cybersecurity requirements, and commercial liability frameworks.
