We are a team of progressive, dedicated and detail oriented Attorneys with varied and yet complimentary experiences and skill sets. Our primary objective is to understand and satisfy the legal needs of our clients in an informed, ethical and efficient manner. We do this by holding firm to three core principles:

Accessibility:

We believe that the Attorney/Client relationship can only be prosperous where the client is provided with avenues to communicate with the Attorney and consistent access to the information about the conduct of the case. Therefore, we have leveraged technology and organizational skills to ensure there are defined and effective modes of communication.

Integrity:

It is our responsibility to secure the trust and confidence of each client. We can only successfully advance the interests of our clients if they trust and believe in us enough to give us full and frank instructions and observe and accept our considered advice. We therefore adopt the highest ethical standards both in our interactions with our clients as well as in the principled manner in which we represent their interests.

Diligence:

We get the job done!

Civil & Human Rights

Sometimes it is just not possible to resolve disputes or enforce rights without the assistance of the Court. Civil Litigation is the process by which such Court Proceedings are conducted in the Magistrates Court, High Court, Court of Appeal and the Caribbean Court of Justice. We appreciate that whether you are claiming relief, seeking compensation or defending yourself, the preparation of legal documents and interacting with Magistrates and Judges can be a daunting and confusing exercise. Therefore, at KCT Chambers our role is to carefully advise our clients on the process and the most appropriate steps to be taken, provide a practical but legally grounded approach to all matters and steadfastly and meticulously advocate on our clients’ behalf. We assist our clients by:

Animal Law
Civil Rights
Constitutional Law
Disability
Disability Insurance
Discrimination
Education Law
Faith-Based Law
Military Law
Native People
Social Security Disability
State, Local, and Municipal Law
Veterans Benefits

Criminal Defense

This area not only governs the representation of individuals who are suspected of or charged with the commission of criminal offences, but also assisting victims of crime in the prosecution of offenders. There are even instances in which the person charged by the police was actually the victim of an offence at the hands of the Virtual Complainant. Whether a person is a victim or an accused or both, interacting with the Police and the Criminal Courts is an unfamiliar and unsettling experience for most people and their families. At KCT Chambers, our role is to walk our clients through the process and staunchly represent their interests at every stage. This includes:

  • Advising on criminal liability;
  • Attending and Advocating at Police Stations;
  • Mitigating after a guilty plea or finding of guilt;
  • Applying for a person to be released on bail pending a trial or hearing and/or the Dismissal of cases;
  • Conducting Private Prosecutions;
  • Advocating at Hearings, Trials and Appeals;
  • Advising on Claims which may arise out of the criminal proceedings.
