Tyra Trotman realised her passion for law from the tender age of twelve years old and since then has been working relentlessly to make her dreams a reality.

She attended the Barbados Community College where she obtained an Associate Degree in Law and Political Science in 2014 after graduating from the Combermere Secondary School.

Later she went on to achieve her Bachelorโ€™s Degree from the esteemed University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus where she graduated with Upper-Second Class Honors in 2019.

During her time at the University of the West Indies, she was given the first opportunity of its kind when she was chosen to work alongside the government of the Bahamas as part of her duties when she enrolled in the International TradeLab Legal Clinic. Additionally, she represented the University of the West Indies in an international Mooting Competition hosted by the American University Washington College of Law in 2019.

Since then, she received her LEC in 2021 from the Sir Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago and was called to the Barbados Bar in 2021. She also obtained her Masterโ€™s in Public Law in 2022.
