mr. NPJM (Nicole) Krete-Marres
mr. Nicole Kreté-Marres started her legal career at KienhuisHoving Advocaten in Enschede. She worked there as a lawyer for six years, specializing in the law of persons, family and inheritance in the broadest sense of the word. She continued her career at Verhoeff Advocaten and Mediators in The Hague. Nicole has been working as a partner at KreteMarres Advocatuur and Mediaton since May 2011.
Nicole specializes in divorce cases involving entrepreneurs, divorces with an international character and inheritance law. She also has a lot of experience with alimony issues, access arrangements, custody issues, name changes and adoption procedures. She can also advise on matrimonial property law (nuptial agreements, division and separation of marital property) and cases involving children.
Due to her knowledge and experience in Youth Welfare Work - and specifically through her HBO-J (Youth Welfare Work) training - Nicole
also pays special attention to the emotions of divorcing partners and their children, in addition to the legal consequences of a divorce. This combination is her strength as a divorce mediator and mediator. Her training in Youth Welfare Work and her work experience with children are also of great added value in drawing up parenting plans.
Every year she attends various legal and tax courses to ensure that she stays abreast of the latest legal developments. The highest possible specialization for both personal and family law and inheritance law is the VFAS specialization course. She completed both by means of an oral exam with a 9 for law of persons and family law and an 8 for inheritance law. She also successfully passed the VEAN exam. In mediation she is able to regulate intense emotions and with her legal financial knowledge to ensure that a well-considered and balanced agreement is concluded.

Persons & Family Law
Relationships between people, both between adults and between adults and children, have legal consequences. It is important to arrange things properly, both when these relationships arise and when they break. These and the following cases fall under the law of persons and family law:
National and international (divorce) divorce
The Entrepreneur and Divorce
Dissolution of registered partnership
Termination of cohabitation relationship, including settlement of cohabitation contract
Drawing up or amending the parenting plan and/or the care arrangement
Determination and change of child support
Determination, change and termination of spousal maintenance
Asset distribution, including settlement of prenuptial agreements
Pension equalization and distribution of pension in-house

Advising marriage conditions
Precisely because of the personal nature, it is sometimes difficult to separate emotions from legal and financial interests. It is then important that you are assisted by someone with sound legal knowledge who also has an eye for the accompanying emotions.
Elder Law
Inheritance law
Inheritance law regulates the transfer of assets in the event that someone (the testator) dies. When a loved one dies, ambiguity can sometimes arise about the interpretation of a will and the rights of those involved. Even without a will, it is often unclear who has what rights and powers. Questions may arise such as: 'may I sell my father's or mother's household effects independently', 'how do I deal with the financial advantage of my brother or sister' and 'what are my obligations as an executor?' Issues related to inheritance law include:
Consequences of death without a will
Rights of heirs, husband or wife, children, stepchildren and third parties
Legal distribution
Will, explanation and the consequences of a will
Legitimate portion, gifts, legacies, usufruct and rights of will
Executor, liquidation and administration
The distribution and procedural aspects
In such an emotional time, clear advice is important so that you know where you stand and, if necessary, assistance in a procedure. You can also contact KreteMarres for this.
Lawsuits & Disputes
Mediation
If you remain connected to your ex-partner in the future, for example because you have children together, you may have a great deal of interest in reaching a good solution together. In this case, a mediator guides the negotiation process. Independent and neutral, in a confidential atmosphere. It is the mediator's job to provide both parties with legal information and to guide them to reach a solution together that lays a good foundation for a new future.
