Family
When two people who have lived together move away from each other, there is often a portion that must be distributed and new agreements must be concluded. The rules on dissolution of cohabitation and dissolution of marriage can be complicated. Very few people who settle settlements on their own get everything they are entitled to.

Inheritance and inheritance
In the event of a person's death, the Inheritance Act provides rules for what should happen to the deceased's assets and liabilities. In Norwegian law, the heirs are designated either directly by law or by will. The Inheritance Act has clear rules for who are the heirs and how much each of the heirs should inherit. By making a will, you can to some extent change the law's rules on how the inheritance is to be distributed. How the inheritance settlement is to be carried out follows from the Probate Act.
