Salma currently acts as legal counsel, corporate secretary, or consultant for various entities in the fintech, construction, real estate, and manufacturing sectors, as well as non-government organizations (NGOs).

Since early 2018, Salma has been deeply involved in a fintech client's projects aligned with the government’s PUV modernization initiative and the global digital transformation. The team is currently intensifying its development resources, building integrations, regulatory compliance and security audits, and strengthening its market presence in the entire Philippines.

Salma has worked at top-tier law firms on mergers and acquisitions, public-private partnerships, project finance, banking/insurance, and capital markets, including initial public offerings. She also drafted/reviewed complex commercial agreements and performed regulatory compliance services for various corporations.

Salma also has strong experience working with the government. She was part of the legal team that advised the PPP Center and project sponsors in preparing feasibility studies, project structuring, and documentation. She has also worked at the Department of Finance on internal revenue, customs, and local treasury operations.

Salma has also worked with NGOs such as Islamic Relief Worldwide (Philippine Branch) which she established in the aftermath of Typhoon Yolanda.

Salma earned her law degree from the University of the Philippines (UP) - Diliman, where she garnered several writing awards and a citation for her moot court participation. She received her business degree from UP, graduating cum laude.

Before becoming a lawyer, Salma worked in sales/marketing in local and multinational companies, where she honed her creativity, managerial skills, and business acumen. She also taught Information Systems in Businesses at UP Diliman.
