Barrister Md. Salequzzaman is the Managing Partner at The Legal Era and a distinguished legal practitioner with extensive experience across the full spectrum of civil, criminal, constitutional, and commercial law. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honorable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in 2013, after completing the Bar Professional Training Course at City, University of London, and holding an LL.B. (Hons.) from the University of Wales. He also earned his first LL.B. and LL.M. from the University of Rajshahi.
He has been enrolled as an Advocate in Bangladesh since 2009, admitted to the High Court Division in 2015, and to the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in 2023.
Salequzzaman appears regularly before the Supreme Court and subordinate courts of Bangladesh. His practice covers a wide range of areas, including constitutional law, intellectual property rights, admiralty law, civil and criminal litigation, corporate and banking matters, taxation, public interest litigation, and human rights.
Prior to founding The Legal Era, he worked with the renowned firm Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed & Associates for over four years, where he advised leading domestic and international clients, handled corporate secretarial matters, drafted legal documents, and participated in high-level litigation. He also previously served at Old Bailey Chambers, where he gained further specialization in IP, ICT, e-commerce, technology, and anti-piracy litigation.
Recognized as one of the Top 100 Legal Falcons, Barrister Salequzzaman received the Lex-Falcon Award 2022 at the Lextalk World Global Hybrid Conference in Dubai for his outstanding contribution to the legal field.
