I've been abused physically and sexually from childhood they kept my mouth shut. I'm in trauma that how could my own mother can say it happens with every girl nothing new just keep quiet forget. It's very hard to forget I'm traumatized for life. It was a family member who did it and everyone including mom aunt every female in household wants me to forget, forgive . They give me reason that he was a child he was not an adult when he did he's 4 and half years elder than me. I think I was mature right? Because he was a child and me? Wasn't I just a kid too? Then why do I have to be quiet? I gave them option choose him or me they chose him. I want to seperate from my family legally I'm 23 . I've been through enough this toxicity needs to end now. Is there any way I can clear my name from this family list? I want them to forget they have a girl child. I want nothing to do with him. I'll get them to sign my freedom papers cause I cannot live here anymore it hurts me, I crave peace .Please help me.

I’m truly sorry you’ve endured such pain. You deserve safety, support, and the chance to heal, and there are concrete steps you can take right now. Next, explore legal options. You can file a criminal complaint, seek a protection order under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, and obtain free legal assistance through the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) or state women’s legal aid cells. Document any messages, medical reports, or written statements you have; organized evidence will strengthen any future case. If you need a lawyer, NALSA and local legal‑aid clinics can provide counsel at no cost. Finally, work toward practical independence. Secure your own identity documents (Aadhaar, PAN, passport) and, if possible, open a personal bank account. Look for vocational‑training programs or job opportunities offered by NGOs that support survivors. If you wish to “clear your name” from family records, you can apply for a name change, request removal from joint assets, or obtain a court order declaring you independent—steps that typically require a lawyer’s assistance, which you can obtain through NALSA or a women’s legal‑aid cell. Take one step at a time—perhaps starting with a call to the women’s helpline or a visit to the nearest police station. You don’t have to face this alone; there are legal, medical, and emotional resources ready to help you reclaim safety and peace. If you need specific contacts for your state or city, just let me know and I’ll point you in the right direction. For advice specific to your circumstances, it's advisable for a consultation. Sincerely, Ascendence International Consulting
