I have an arbitration clause in my construction contract and we already received an award in my favor. The contractor is ignoring it and won’t pay. What steps are needed in Panama to make the award enforceable and collect the money?

You must retain a lawyer to start a collection suit with an authenticated copy of the arbitration award and request the judge to seize any bank accounts or properties held by the contractor. You must do this in no more than 1 year after the date of award. We have experience with thath. Keep in mind that Lawzana redacts any free info listed so you must conact us directly through the website. Regards, AA
