My mother had bought a lot in Baguio that has been passed to me and my 4 other siblings. We had been paying taxes on it until a year or so ago when we found out that taxes on it for that year had been paid already. It appears that a fake deed or title was issued to the fake new owner, essentially stealing the property right under our noses. What legal recourse do we have on this? Thanks.
