Since you entered Saudi Arabia on a work visa and wish to return to your home country, your legal status depends on your employment contract and the residency (sponsorship) system:

1️⃣ The Right to Terminate the Contract During the Probationary Period:
If you are actually on a probationary period (even if it is not explicitly stated in the contract), either party may terminate the relationship without compensation during this period, according to Saudi labor law, provided there is no penalty clause.

2️⃣ If the Contract Does Not Mention a Probationary Period:
The contract is considered valid for its full duration (27 months), but the employee has the right to terminate it by mutual agreement or by resignation. Compensation may be due to the employer if the contract stipulates this. In practice, many employers agree to a "final exit" without any special requirements at the beginning of employment.

3️⃣ The Correct Procedure for Returning to Your Home Country:

Request a final exit from your employer (sponsor)

Sign a clearance certificate for outstanding dues

Cancel your residency permit

Then leave legally.

If your employer refuses, you can file a complaint with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development or the Ministry of Labor to request termination of the relationship and the issuance of a final exit.
