How do I appeal a rejected trading licence for my small shop in Kampala, and what deadlines apply?

KCCA rejected my trading licence application and only said the documents were incomplete. I want to know the proper appeal process, the time limits, and what evidence I should attach to avoid another rejection.

Hello, sorry about that incident.

It would be better to inform us what reason was given for rejecting your application. Ordinarilly, trading licence applications are easily accepted. You have to submit your company incorporation documents especially copies of the certificate, Forms 18 and 20, email address and telephone contacts, and the exact business location. Basing on the location and the nature of the business, KCCA grading rates will determine how much fees you have to pay. These fees are fixed for different businesses.  You may just make a fresh application instead of pursuing the appeal process but this depends on the reason for rejecting your application which you have not disclosed to us.
