SLA Legal was established in 1985 by Muhammad Ilyas Sheikh and Hafiz Muhammad Idris, both Advocates of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Over four decades, they built a reputation for integrity, discipline, and courtroom excellence, forming one of Pakistan‘s most respected legal practices. Both are widely regarded among the country‘s most accomplished Supreme Court advocates, with over two hundred reported judgments and a distinguished record of service to the profession.

In 2015, Barrister Talha Ilyas Sheikh, a UK-qualified Barrister called to the Bar of England and Wales from the Honourable Society of Lincoln‘s Inn, joined the firm after completing his legal education in London. His leadership strengthened the firm‘s legacy and introduced a modern, client-focused approach to practice.

Today, SLA Legal operates as a full-service boutique law firm with affiliates and associated counsel across Pakistan. With multiple Advocates of the Supreme Court and a team of barristers and advocates, it serves as a one-stop legal solution for clients nationwide. The firm represents matters before tribunals, courts up-to the Supreme Court of Pakistan and regularly advises on cross-border transactions, arbitration, and international collaborations.
