Seized car

Question

A friend just seized my car , saying that he will Release it at his own time  , but I need my car back as soon as possible

Do you owe him money? If you do, he has a right to quietly seize your car without violence as a lien for the money you owe him, at least until you pay up, especially if the amount is substantial. But he must not sell the car while it's in his possession. You should pay if you owe him. If you are not owing him and he has seized it, go to the nearest police station to report him.
