I need to take my niece along with my kids to the USA and was told she must be adopted. I want to know whether legal guardianship is acceptable. Thanks

Lagos State does not permit bloodline adoption, but allows guardianship. Again, the process of guardianship is less cumbersome and stressful compared to adoption which takes longer period of time to process. Regards, Kingsley Izimah, Esq

Private adoption is less cumbersome and is completed in a shorter time than public adoption. At completion, the adoption order is awarded with which you can travel with your niece.
