Buying Used Vehicle in the Philippines
We found a used vehicle in the Philippines. The supposed owner vehicle states that the Bank is currently holding the OR and CR and is in the process of changing the name to the supposed owner. Is it safe to go ahead and give him the money and in return we get the key and the vehicle? Once we have the vehicle, we then hire somebody to facilitate processing the documents and eventually change the OR and CR to our names (joint ownership). Before giving him the money, we would like to hire an attorney to contact the bank and pressure them to complete the OR and CR. Or is it possible to change it straight to our names instead of the supposed owners?
