TELECOMMUNICATIONS, MEDIA & TECHNOLOGY (TMT)
Our TMT practice is robust and highly experienced, representing some of the largest multi-national telecommunications and technology companies with their affairs in Thailand.
TMT is a fast and ever-changing area of law, especially in rapidly developing nations. The consistent and constant development of new technologies requires a TMT lawyer to be forward-thinking and adaptable. For our TMT clients, we keep abreast of developments and remain aware of potential (and often novel) legal issues surrounding technological developments as they may apply to law.
Our Technology practice focuses primarily on contractual agreements, which is often outsourcing, specialized customizations, licensing, implementations, and systems integrations for large enterprise users. We estimate the underlying value of contracts we have processed for our clients to date to be nearly Thai Baht 3 billion.
Our Telecommunications practice concentrates on the tightly regulated telecommunications and broadcasting sectors. We act for multi-national operators in telecommunications, broadcasting, OTT, and increasing convergence technologies such as telematics and telemedicine on a variety of regulatory issues and practices.
Our Media practice covers a wide variety of activities such as online gaming, e-commerce, online payment systems, advertising, film & television, OTT services, publishing, and defamation.
Our corporate practice regularly advises on general corporate matters such as foreign investment strategies, shareholder agreements managerial control strategies, economic control strategies, foreign business licensing, representative offices, and agencies.
Several factors can influence a corporate transaction, and in this sense, no two corporate transactions are alike. The interaction between various stakeholders, employees, directors, the local community, and regulatory bodies all play a role.
Litigation and dispute resolution is a core competency of Formichella & Sritawat, from pre-trial negotiations, documentation and preparation for trial, injunctions, summary judgment applications, trial, to appeals and enforcement proceedings. With our expertise and experience, we will guide you to practical, creative, and cost-effective solutions, no matter the nature of a dispute.
The underlying fact patterns and evidence in litigation are never the same, but there are situational similarities upon which litigation arises.
