Atty. Don has established his career in litigation from the time he was admitted to the Philippine Bar. Presently, his main areas of expertise include providing legal advice as well as handling labor and industrial relations and civil law cases, with a principal focus on areas of housing and property law. His other areas of expertise include commercial transactions, particularly in banking and finance. He also advises clients on general corporate services and performs general contract drafting and review.
During his first years in practice, Atty. Don was an associate of Santos Santos & Santos Law Offices, where his main areas of competence were family and criminal litigation. Thereafter, he became a long-time litigation lawyer at one of the biggest universal banks in the Philippines, where he dealt with a number of collection suits, foreclosure proceedings, bankruptcy, corporate rehabilitation, and liquidation cases. Before passing the Bar, Atty. Don was a legal assistant to the former Secretary of Department of Education, Dr. Mona Dumlao-Valisno, at the Office of the Presidential Assistant for Education, Malacañang, where he assisted the efforts and recommendations of the Presidential Task Force for Education during the term of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on improving the education system in the Philippines.
Before joining the firm, Atty. Don was previously connected with one of the largest integrated destination resort and casino in Manila where he expanded his skill set and knowledge in the field of gaming, entertainment, and hospitality.
Currently, Atty. Don is spearheading the firm’s labor-litigation as well as the collection-litigation department.
