Getting Started

Welcome to Lawzana — the legal directory that connects your firm with potential clients. This guide walks you through registering your firm and taking your first steps on the platform.

Registering Your Firm#

Step 1: Create Your Account#

  1. Go to the Register Your Law Firm page on Lawzana
  2. Fill in the registration form:
    • Firm name — Your law firm or practice name
    • Firm URL slug — A unique URL-friendly version of your firm name (auto-generated, but you can customize it)
    • Your name — First and last name of the primary account holder
    • Email address — Must be unique (not already registered on Lawzana)
    • Phone number — Your contact phone number
    • Password — Create a secure password
  3. Agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
  4. Click Register

You'll be automatically logged in and redirected to your dashboard.

Tip
Choose your firm URL slug carefully — it becomes part of your public profile URL (e.g., lawzana.com/lawyer/your-firm-slug).

Step 2: Complete Your Profile#

After registration, your firm status is Draft. To attract clients, complete your profile:

  1. Upload your logo — Click on the logo placeholder to upload your firm's logo
  2. Add a description — Write a compelling introduction about your firm
  3. Set up your office — Add your first office location with address and contact details
  4. Define your practice areas — Select the legal services you offer
  5. Add team members — List the lawyers and staff at your firm

Step 3: Request Publishing#

Once your profile is complete:

  1. Check the profile completion checklist on your dashboard
  2. Make sure all required items are done (logo, office, practices, description)
  3. Click Request Publish
  4. A Lawzana administrator will review your profile
  5. Once approved, your firm goes Live and appears in the directory
Note
Profile review typically takes 1–2 business days. You'll be notified by email when your firm is published.
