Reviews and Reputation
Client reviews are one of the most powerful tools for building trust and attracting new clients. Lawzana helps you manage reviews, respond to feedback, and proactively collect new reviews.
Viewing Your Reviews#
- Go to Reviews in the sidebar
- Browse all reviews submitted for your firm
- Use filters to find specific reviews:
- Status tabs — All, Pending Response, Responded, Anonymous
- Practice area — Filter by legal service
- Star rating — Filter by score (1–5 stars)
- Search — Find reviews by keyword
What Reviews Show#
Each review includes:
- Star rating — 1 to 5 stars
- Reviewer name — Or "Anonymous" if they chose privacy
- Review message — Their written feedback
- Practice area — The service the review relates to
- Date — When the review was submitted
- Response status — Whether you've responded
Responding to Reviews#
Responding to reviews shows potential clients that you value feedback and are engaged with your reputation.
How to Respond#
- Click on a review from the reviews list
- Click Respond
- Write your response in the text editor
- Click Save
Tips for Responding#
For positive reviews:
- Thank the reviewer for their feedback
- Mention specific aspects of the service they appreciated
- Keep it professional and genuine
For negative reviews:
- Stay professional — never respond emotionally
- Acknowledge their experience without being defensive
- Offer to discuss the matter offline if appropriate
- Address specific concerns constructively
General tips:
- Respond promptly — timely responses show you're attentive
- Keep responses concise — a few sentences is usually enough
- Never share confidential case details in a response
- Remember that responses are public — write for future clients reading the review
Editing a Response#
You can update your response at any time:
- Open the review
- Click Edit on your existing response
- Make your changes and click Save
Collecting Reviews#
Proactively collecting reviews from satisfied clients helps build your reputation on Lawzana.
Sharing Your Review Link#
- Go to Reviews in the sidebar
- Click the Share button
- A dialog appears with your unique review collection link
- Copy the link and share it with past clients
You can share the review collection link via:
- Email after completing a case
- Your firm's website
- Social media
- Printed materials (QR codes to the link)
- Client follow-up communications
Review Moderation#
How Reviews Are Moderated#
- A client submits a review through your review form or public profile
- A Lawzana administrator reviews the submission for authenticity and content
- Once approved, the review becomes visible on your profile
- You're notified when a new review appears
Review Display#
Published reviews appear on:
- Your firm profile page
- Your office/branch pages
- Directory search results (as an aggregate star rating)
Can Reviews Be Removed?#
Lawzana does not remove negative reviews simply because a firm disagrees with them. Reviews are only removed if they:
- Contain offensive or inappropriate content
- Are clearly fake or fraudulent
- Violate Lawzana's content guidelines
- Were submitted by someone who never used the firm's services
