Billing & Plans
Lawzana Flow uses Stripe for subscription billing. This guide covers the plans, AI credits and how billing works.
Plans#
Every firm starts on Free and can stay there as long as it likes. There is no trial and no card needed. Paid plans are seat-based: you pay per active team member.

Every plan includes the full platform: leads, matters, contacts, documents, drafting, time tracking and invoicing, the client portal, automations, the contact page, the website widget and Zapier. There is no limit on the number of leads, matters or contacts. The difference is how many people, how much AI and how much storage you use. Paid plans can also hide the "Powered by Lawzana Flow" footer on your contact page.
Firms connected to the Lawzana Directory#
If your firm is connected to a Lawzana Directory listing, your Directory plan includes an allowance of Flow seats and AI credits. You get whichever is higher: that allowance or your Flow plan's own limits.
AI Credits#
AI features use credits from your firm's monthly pool. Credits reset at the start of each month.

When you upload a supported document to a matter, its key facts are read automatically. Automatic AI on leads never uses the last 20% of your monthly credits; see Leads.
Monitoring Usage#
Track your AI credit usage in Settings → Subscription, in the AI Usage section:
- AI Actions Used this month, the share of your quota used and what remains
- The date your quota resets
- The list of actions that count towards your credits
- Document storage used against your plan's limit
Managing Your Subscription#
Accessing Your Subscription#
- Go to Settings → Subscription
- On Free, choose Upgrade to Essentials or Upgrade to Advanced to subscribe with a card
- On a paid plan, click Manage Billing to open the Stripe billing portal
In the Billing Portal You Can:#
- Update your payment method
- View and download invoices
Cancelling#
Click Cancel subscription in Settings → Subscription, then Cancel at period end. You keep your paid plan until the end of the current billing period. Until then, you can change your mind and resume the subscription from the same page.
Subscription Status#

What Happens When You Cancel#
When your subscription ends, your firm goes back to the Free plan. All matters, contacts and documents are kept, and the Free limits apply again (2 team members, 50 AI credits a month, 2 GB of storage). Above 2 GB, new uploads are blocked until you free up space or upgrade.
Seat Management#
Adding Seats#
A seat is added to your subscription when an invitation is accepted. Your next invoice reflects the additional seat (prorated for the current period).
Removing Seats#
When you remove a team member, the seat is removed from your subscription. Your next invoice is reduced accordingly.
Data Region#
Your file storage region (United States, Europe or Asia Pacific) can't be changed after your workspace is created. Firms that sign up on flow.lawzana.com get the Europe region; firms that start from the Lawzana Directory choose theirs when the workspace is created. It determines where your uploaded files are stored; the rest of the service runs in the US. See Security & Privacy for details on storage and AI processing.
