Settings

The Settings page lets you configure your organization, team, workflows, and integrations. Access it from the sidebar by clicking Settings.

Note
Only Owners and Admins can access most settings. Members and Viewers have limited or no access to settings.

Organization#

General#

  • Organization Name — Your firm's display name
  • Slug — Your unique URL identifier (used in portal links)
  • Data Region — Where your data is stored (US, EU, or APAC). Set during onboarding and cannot be changed.

Firm Details#

  • Address — Your firm's physical address (used in engagement letters and correspondence)
  • Primary Jurisdiction — The main jurisdiction your firm practices in
  • Engagement Letter Configuration — Default settings for generated engagement letters

Billing#

  • Subscription Status — Active, Trialing, Past Due, or Canceled
  • Trial Status — Days remaining in your trial (if applicable)
  • Plan Details — Current plan, number of seats, cost
  • Manage Billing — Opens the Stripe billing portal to update payment methods, view invoices, or change your plan

AI Usage#

Monitor your team's AI credit consumption:

  • Monthly Quota — Total credits available this billing period
  • Current Usage — Credits used with a progress bar
  • Reset Date — When your credits renew
  • Per-Operation Costs — How many credits each AI action uses (see AI Features for the credit table)

Team#

Members#

  • View all current team members with their roles
  • Invite Member — Send an invitation email
  • Change Role — Adjust a member's permissions
  • Remove — Revoke a member's access

Groups#

  • Create teams/departments within your organization
  • Assign members to groups
  • Designate team leads
  • Use groups for matter assignment and filtering

Workflow#

Matter Stages#

Customize the stages in your matter pipeline:

  • Add Stage — Create a new stage with a name and color
  • Reorder — Drag stages to change their order
  • Edit — Rename or change a stage's color
  • Delete — Remove a stage (matters in that stage will need to be reassigned)
  • Templates — Apply a pre-built template (Litigation, Transactional, or Family Law)
  • Closed Stage — Mark a stage as the "closed" stage to archive completed matters

Lead Stages#

Customize your lead pipeline stages, similar to matter stages:

  • Default, Extended, and Simple templates available
  • Add, edit, reorder, and delete stages

Milestone Types#

Define the types of milestones available in your matters:

  • Each type has a Name, Color, and optional Icon
  • Examples: Hearing (Gavel icon), Filing (FileText icon), Deadline (AlertTriangle icon), Meeting (UserHandshake icon)

Practice Areas#

Manage the legal specialties your firm handles:

  • Add practice areas with custom icons and colors
  • Practice areas are used for categorizing matters and selecting appropriate AI playbooks
  • Default areas include: Corporate, Family Law, Immigration, Litigation, Real Estate, Tax, and more

Tags#

Create tags for organizing notes and activities:

  • Each tag has a Name and Color
  • Use tags across matters, notes, and activities

Automations#

Create workflow rules that fire automatically when events occur. See Automations for full details.

Integrations#

Widget#

Configure the embeddable lead capture form for your website:

  • Generate and manage your widget key
  • Choose display mode (Inline, Floating, or Button)
  • Customize colors, text, and form fields
  • Copy the embed code

Document Types#

Define custom document classifications for your firm:

  • Used for organizing and filtering documents
