Contacts

Contacts are the central directory of people and companies in Lawzana Flow. They can be linked to leads, matters, and client accounts.

Contact Types#

People#

Individual contacts — clients, opposing counsel, witnesses, experts, or any person relevant to your practice.

Fields:

Companies#

Business entities — client companies, opposing parties, courts, or organizations.

Creating a Contact#

  1. Go to Contacts in the sidebar
  2. Click New Contact
  3. Choose Person or Company
  4. Fill in the details and click Save
Tip
Contacts are also created automatically when you create a lead or add a client to a matter.

Contact List#

The contacts list provides:

  • Search — Find contacts by name, email, phone, or company
  • Filter tabs — Switch between All, People, and Companies
  • Stats cards — See total contacts, people count, and company count at a glance
  • Context menu — Edit or delete contacts via the three-dot menu

Linking Contacts#

Contacts can be associated with:

  • Leads — A lead's contact details link to the contact directory
  • Matters — Add contacts as participants or related parties
  • Client Accounts — Link a contact to a billing client account
  • Companies — Link a person to their company

Entity Extraction#

When you run AI analysis on a document, Lawzana Flow can automatically extract entities (people and companies) mentioned in the text and offer to add them to your contacts directory.

AI credits used: 1 credit per extraction
