Getting Started with Lawzana Flow
Welcome to Lawzana Flow — the AI-powered practice management platform built for solo practitioners and small law firms. This guide walks you through your first steps.
Creating Your Account#
- Visit flow.lawzana.com and click Get Started
- Enter your name, email address, and create a password
- Check your email for a verification link and click it to confirm your account
- You'll be redirected to the onboarding wizard
Onboarding Wizard#
The onboarding wizard guides you through setting up your firm in 5 steps. You can skip steps and complete them later from Settings.
Step 1: Welcome#
A brief introduction to Lawzana Flow and its core capabilities.
Step 2: Firm Details#
- Firm Name — Your law firm or practice name
- Primary Jurisdiction — The main jurisdiction you practice in
- Address — Your firm's address (optional but recommended for engagement letters)
Step 3: Data Region#
Choose where your data is stored:

Step 4: Team Invitations#
Invite up to 2 team members during your trial. Enter their email addresses and choose a role:
- Admin — Can manage settings, team, and all firm data
- Member — Can access leads, matters, and documents
- Viewer — Read-only access to assigned matters
Step 5: Get Started#
You're ready! The wizard takes you directly to your dashboard.
Your Dashboard#
The dashboard is your home base. It shows:
- Recent Matters — Your most recently updated cases
- Leads — New leads awaiting action
- Quick Stats — Overview of active matters, pending leads, and recent activity
- Notifications — Recent alerts and updates
Navigation#
The left sidebar gives you quick access to all sections:

Your First Matter#
- Go to Leads in the sidebar
- Click New Lead and enter the potential client's details
- After qualifying the lead, click Convert to Matter on the lead detail page
- Set a title for the matter and confirm
Or create a matter directly:
- Go to Matters in the sidebar
- Click New Matter
- Fill in the title, client details, and practice area
- The matter is created in the first stage of your pipeline
Uploading Your First Document#
- Open a matter and go to the Documents tab
- Click Upload Document or drag and drop files
- Supported formats: PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, and images
- Maximum file size: 25 MB
- Once uploaded, Lawzana Flow automatically extracts the text content
After text extraction, you can:
- Generate an AI Summary with one click
- Extract Key Facts (dates, names, amounts, claims)
- Chat with the document to ask questions about its contents
