ICT Rechtswijzer is an initiative of Everest Advocaten's IE and TMT teams, delivering focused legal services at the intersection of technology, intellectual property, data protection, artificial intelligence, media law and cyber security. Led by Advocate Joris Deene, the platform serves Belgian and international clients through Everest Advocaten's offices in Ghent, Antwerp and Brussels, providing regional proximity with global reach.
Advocate Joris Deene brings extensive IP and IT law experience. He completed a law degree at Ghent University and a post graduate in International Copyright from the University of Amsterdam. He began his practice in 2002 at Storme, Leroy, Van Parys and joined Everest Advocaten in 2011, becoming partner in 2018 as part of the IP and TMT team. He is an acknowledged arbitrator for .be domain name disputes (CEPINA) and serves as a guest lecturer at Ghent University, reflecting his engagement with the academic and professional community.
