MIGRATORY CHARACTERISTICS For recreational or health purposes, for artistic, cultural or sports activities, not remunerated or lucrative, with a maximum period of six months that cannot be extended. A term of up to 180 days may be granted. TRANSMIGRANT

VISITOR

To start, finish or perfect studies in official educational institutions or establishments, or incorporated with official recognition of validity; or to carry out studies that do not require it, with annual extensions and with authorization to remain in the country only for the duration of their studies and that which is necessary to obtain the respective final school documentation, being able to be absent from the country, each year for up to 120 days in total.
DISTINGUISHED VISITOR
In special cases, exceptionally, courtesy permits may be granted to enter and reside in the country, for up to six months, to Researchers, Scientists or Humanists of International Prestige, Journalists or other prominent people.
LOCAL VISITORS
The Migration Authorities may authorize foreigners to visit seaports or border cities without their stay exceeding three days.
The local visitor's permit will be individual for people over fifteen years of age, minors are covered by the local visitor's permit that is issued to the parents, relatives or guardians who accompany them.
PROVISIONAL VISITOR
The Ministry of the Interior may authorize as an exception for up to 30 days, the provisional disembarkation of foreigners who arrive at seaports or airports with international service, whose documentation lacks any secondary requirement.
HUMAN RIGHTS OBSERVER VISITORS
The application for admission must be submitted at least fifteen days prior to the date on which they intend to enter the National Territory.
SPOUSES AND FAMILY MEMBERS
Any foreigner who enters the country as a non-immigrant or immigrant, may request the entry of their spouse and first-degree relatives, who may be granted, when they do not have their own migratory characteristic, the same migratory characteristic and temporality than to the non-immigrant, under the modality of economic dependent.
RENTIER
To live on their resources brought from abroad; of the interests produced by the investment of its capital in certificates, titles and bonds of the state or of national credit institutions or others determined by the Ministry of the Interior or of any permanent income that comes from abroad.
INVESTORS
To invest their capital in industry, commerce and services, in accordance with national Laws, provided that it contributes to the economic and social development of the country and that the minimum amount established by the Regulations of the General Population Law.
PROFESSIONAL
In order to exercise a profession, in the case of professions that require a title for their exercise, the provisions of the regulatory provisions of Article 5 of the Constitution regarding professions must be complied with.
TRUST POSITION
To assume management positions, sole administrator or others of absolute trust in companies or institutions established in the Republic, provided that in the opinion of the Ministry of the Interior there is no duplication of positions and that the service in question merits the admission to the country.
SCIENTIST
To direct or carry out scientific research, to disseminate their scientific knowledge, prepare researchers or carry out teaching work, when these activities are carried out in the interest of national development in the opinion of the Ministry of the Interior, taking into consideration the general information provided in this regard by the Institutions that it deems convenient to consult.
TECHNICAL
To carry out applied research within production or perform technical or specialized functions that cannot be provided, in the opinion of the Ministry of the Interior, by residents of the country.
ARTISTS AND ATHLETES

MINISTER OF WORSHIP OR RELIGIOUS ASSOCIATE
To exercise the ministry of any cult, or to carry out social assistance and philanthropic work, that coincide with the purposes of the religious association to which it belongs, provided that it has prior registration with the Ministry of the Interior and that the foreigner possesses, in advance, the character of minister of worship or associate under the terms of the Law of Religious Associations and Public Worship.
CORRESPONDENT
To carry out activities typical of the profession of journalist, to cover a special event or for its temporary exercise, provided that it duly accredits its appointment or exercise of the profession in the terms determined by the Ministry of the Interior.
REFUGEE
